Movie clubs are groups of people who share an interest in a particular movie, moviemaker neighborhood, genre, etc.
Movie Clubs - the key to Move Meetinghouse
At MMh we believe that passionate movielovers are probably the best support a moviemaker can have. At MMh they will recieve a percentage of sales they generate. Movielovers who watch lots of movies-even bad ones -to find the perfect jewel, and then tell all their friends, provide valuable word-of-mouth publicity. We at MMh want to encourage these folks by giving them the tools to make a living with their passion and their power. If movie lovers don’t want to make it “a job” they can watch, review and recommend movies just for fun. By spreading the word about movies they enjoy, they are directly supporting moviemakers they admire and strengthening the digital movie community. Movie club presenters provide a valuable service to consumers around the world who don’t have the time or the inclination to search for movies.
A Presenter can create a club to feature any genre or format of movies the presenter enjoys. Clubs can cater to an audience interested in comedies, documentaries, short format, foreign language movies or any number of categories. Parents can start clubs to feature education movies for children. Clubs can feature half hour comedies or a weekly drama series-the possibilities are limited only by the imagination and the moviemakers involved.
Clubs can be small and composed of family and friends or a club can be global, with millions joining. The size of a club depends on the individual presenter’s objectives and their ability to attract and hold members.
Club presenters are given access to all the promotional material the moviemaker’s site provides, trailer, photos, reviews, etc. Through MMh Presenters are given the technologic infrastructure to spread the word about movies they believe in and are encouraged to develop their own ways to promote movies.
MovieMakers are encouraged to offer a percentage of their sales to those Presenters who promote their movies. In addition club presenters can sell advertising space on their club’s homepage. If it is a local theater club, presenters can place ads from eateries and other establishments, for example, to help users plan dinner and a movie or a night out. If it is a national or global club, MMh can direct advertisers to the clubs that attract the advertisers target audience. As presenters develop a following, a club could also charge its members a monthly membership fee.

For those who are
For those who are tirelessly waiting, Prince of Persia is now in theaters. However critics have accused the film of Prince of Persia app whitewashing. Overall they didn't have very much bad to say about the film, however they are saying it borderlines if not full out whitewashes. Whitewashing is when a movie uses a 'white' man or women to play an ethnic role. When this is a valid concern, let's not forget the fact that films goals are for making money also. Clearly it's about money or movie starts wouldn't turn out to be so renowned. Simple facts are that actors bring in individuals, people bring in cash. The 'white' actor wasn't selected due to the fact he was white but because of who he is. There simply most likely wasn't a Persian actor who was as popular as the major character.
