For now, The House is the place to learn more about the site, ask questions of the site’s creatiors and offer suggestions on ways Movie Meetinghouse can best serve the movie community. In time, The House will evolve into the nexus of the site. As in real life, The House will be the center of activity on Movie Meetinghouse.

At MMh we believe that passionate movielovers are probably the best support a moviemaker can have. Movielovers who watch lots of movies-even bad ones -to find the perfect jewel, and then tell all their friends, provide valuable word-of-mouth publicity.

Movie Meetinghouse defines movies as any moving pictures of any length, style, or genre including documentaries, animated films, series films, and countless other possibilities.

When listing a movie, the moviemaker (in this case the rights holder) can choose what phase of the release they want to publicize. Moviemakers may want to promote a theatrical run, DVD sale, or notify consumers that their film is available for downloading.

When the time comes that consumers regularly download their evening’s entertainment from any website  MMh will be the entertainment site of choice. Because MMh makes no editorial decisions, we anticipate the widest possible selection of long tail and traditional feature length movies and TV style series.

There are ways that moviemakers can make money without charging the audience. The audience pays with their eyes. We anticipate Product placement and commercials will be a popular way to fund movies.

Some movies are best seen on the big screen with an audience. Theatrical runs promote movies and naturally stimulate social interaction.

Unlike the old Hollywood distribution system of film prints and advertising, digitally screening a movie costs the moviemaker next to nothing. With Mmh clubs, MovieMakers can reach an audience with almost no upfront promotional costs.

Any place capable of digitally projecting a movie and seating an audience can be considered a pocket theater. Churches, restaurants, art galleries, or outdoor venues can all be considered pocket theater venues.
